National Municipal Stormwater Alliance (NMSA): UNH and UMN partnered with the National Municipal Stormwater Alliance (NMSA) to ensure proposed stormwater research reflects the needs of the MS4 community. NMSA also provides expert-level input in engaging in cold climate-related programmatic, financial, and technical research, including the utilization of the STEPP program.
Technical Advisory Committee (TAC): The CCSCoE created a TAC comprising members from higher education; private and public organizations and societies; community-based entities; national, state, Tribal, and local governments and organizations; and Environmental Finance Centers, environmental justice and equity groups, among others.
Tribal College Program: Funding from the CCSCoE supports the development of an innovative model for sharing stormwater technology between Tribal college and high school students. The program builds a college-to-high school student mentoring program in which participants will learn and apply skills to water resources and stormwater problems.
Workshops, Training, and Certification: The CCSCoE seeks partners and collaborators to provide technical assistance to new jurisdictions, attract new attendee demographics, develop new technical assistance relevant to local communities, and facilitate train-the-trainer opportunities. SCoE Symposia: The CCSCoE hosts an annual symposium to showcase and share: 1) research highlights, 2) technical assistance successes, and 3) opportunities for new collaboration.
Urban LTER: The CCSCoE collaborates with an extensive group of researchers through the Minneapolis-St. Paul Metropolitan Area Urban Long Term Ecological Research program (MSP LTER; funded by the National Science Foundation).
