Not everyone can make it to a national conference, but that shouldn't mean missing out on the latest research and practice. The Minnesota Stormwater Seminar series was designed to close that gap, bringing applied, practitioner-focused content directly to stormwater professionals across cold-climate regions.
In 2025, the series drew more than 270 in-person attendees at the St. Anthony Falls Laboratory in Minneapolis and more than 1,300 unique online participants, averaging 145 attendees per session. Topics ranged from enhanced street sweeping as a frontline tool for reducing urban stormwater pollution and low-cost IoT sensor networks for detecting urban flash floods to emerging contaminants in green stormwater infrastructure.
Each seminar features a leading researcher alongside local practitioners, grounding the science in real-world application. The schedule for the rest of 2026, along with recordings of past seminars, is available on the Center's technical assistance webpage.
